  1. I met your mom at General Conference eight years ago. She indeed embodied love. She and Nancie are my role models for being mother-in-love to my two son-in-laws. I’m close friends with both of their moms.

Thanks so much, Sharon, for telling me! I love hearing how my mom affected others. We use the term “mother-in-love” a lot!

  2. Elizabeth, I am so very sorry – I can only imagine how painful it must be to lose your mother. Your tribute to her is rich and vibrant with her life, and these memories must be a great comfort. What a beautiful and courageous approach she had to spirituality.

Having also lost someone close to me recently, your ideas and images are very close to my heart. Thank you for sharing these personal moments – it helps to be reminded that on some level we are all in this together, and that all of it is love, ultimately.

Sumangali, thank you so much for your kind words, your card, and your book, which sits here on my desk. What a treat to connect with you this way! I look forward to reading your story once my life settles back into a routine, and to continuing to share book recommendations on Goodreads. I’ll be in touch.

      Warmly, Elizabeth

  3. Such a loving tribute to your mother. I have felt so touched this past year by your teaching and your words and now more than ever. I know the depth of your loss will further enhance the depth of who you are.
